✨ Tuesday Work in Progress: Behind the Scenes of Our Overseas Marble Lamp Niche Order
Every Tuesday at Rameshwaram Marble, we pause for a moment to share what’s happening inside our workshop — the real, unfiltered stories of creation, craftsmanship and continuous progress. Today’s Work in Progress is special because it carries the emotion of trust, the weight of responsibility, and the joy of sending Indian craftsmanship across borders.
This week, our team has been working on a custom overseas order of 15 handcrafted White Marble Lamp Niches — a design that has become a favourite among our international clients for its calm glow, traditional carving and minimal elegance.
🪨 Stage 1: The Transformation Begins
Every piece begins as a raw block of white marble, naturally cool to touch and full of possibilities. As artisans start smoothing the surface, slowly removing rough edges, the niche begins to take shape.
The polishing stage is where we see the true personality of the marble — its shine, its veining, its character.
There is something deeply satisfying about watching a dull stone slowly transform into a glowing décor piece.
🛠️ Stage 2: Creating 15 Identical Masterpieces
Bulk orders aren’t just about quantity.
They’re about consistency, precision, and patience.
In the workshop, all 15 pieces stand in a neat line — each one hand-carved, checked, refined and matched to the client’s exact specifications. One piece moves ahead of the queue into the packing stage, while the remaining continue through polishing and detailing.
This queue of perfect, identical lamp niches feels like a celebration of discipline and craftsmanship.
📦 Stage 3: Packing for the World
Export packing is an art by itself.
Each lamp niche is wrapped with layered protection — butter paper, bubble wrap, foam corners and a custom-fit box. The goal is simple: your piece should reach you exactly the way it leaves us — flawless and safe.
Sturdy corrugated boxes, FRAGILE stickers, moisture protection, and shock-absorbing materials make the shipment travel-ready for long international routes.
🌍 Stage 4: A New Home Across Borders
The most rewarding moment is seeing the final product placed beautifully in a client’s home — glowing softly on a console table, placed in a cozy corner, or gifting warmth in a new country.
That single visual completes the entire journey:
From Udaipur’s marble workshops → to a home thousands of miles away.
It’s not just a product.
